#playingwith BILLY BANANAS by Tristan Eaton for this week's #throwbacktoythursday with TOYSREVIL!

The first release for BILLY BANANAS was in a Tristan Eaton helmed show at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York, circa 2009 (Images by Benny Kline from tenacioustoys.com). 5 x Editions of Billy Bananas was unleashed at the May 7th show (Edition runs from 100pcs to 150pcs). In addition, there had been two more colorway/editions released, and apparently a "Blank White" Edition too.

As well the figures came with three types of blind-pack accessories: An anvil, a 40oz Malt Liquor, and a pair of dice.

Produced by "Interspectacular" x "Thunderdog Studios", do check in with your fav retailer(s) for availability and pricing.

As well Billy was featured in a Logo ID for Comedy Central (video headsup via Egg Phil Young) by Devin Clark. Sure would be interested to see what Billy has been up to for the past 9 years!

Credited (and wholly underrated as far as I am concerned) with his work on Kidrobot's "Dunny" and "Munny" figures, Mr. Eaton has since evolved to focus on Street Art, with the last time gracing Singapore's shores in 2012 when he was here for our annual toycon, which I did not have the opportunity to say "Hello" and shake his hand...

So do you folks have at least a Billy Bananas Edition? Pr the entire line-up of them? Would you want to see a "revival" with a new oolorway? A re-sculpt of the same character "a decade later"? :)

Cheers
